Subsidies for Private Kindergarten Enrollment and Tuition Fees, etc.

Subsidies are provided for private kindergarten enrollment and tuition fees, etc., through the national government’s free early childhood education and care subsidy, as well as by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Shinjuku City. For details, please see the notice to be distributed at kindergartens in early July.

Eligibility

Households in Shinjuku City with children aged three to five attending a private kindergarten, kindergarten affiliated with a national university, or kindergarten-like facility (Tokyo Metropolitan Government-certified facilities only).
Note: This includes children attending eligible facilities outside Shinjuku City.
