Shinjuku Multicultural Plaza Twentieth Anniversary Event!

Shinjuku Multicultural Plaza, a hub of multicultural living with Japanese and foreign residents, celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year! The event features international music and dance, performances by non-Japanese rakugo (comic storytelling) artists, and hands-on dyeing workshops—a great opportunity to experience cultures from Japan and abroad.

Program ● First-floor atrium
10 to 11 a.m.: Thai dance and Muay Thai
Noon to 12:45 p.m.: Erhu performance
2 to 2:50 p.m.: Rakugo by foreign performers
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Introduction and tasting of teas from around the world
(Korea, Taiwan, Nicaragua, etc.)
