Be Sure to Pay Your National Health Insurance Premiums

Insurance premiums are a vital financial resource that supports the National Health Insurance (NHI) system. Please make your payments by the stated due dates. If you do not, you may be charged a late fee based on the number of days from the day after the due date until the day you pay.
The NHI premium payment slips for fiscal 2025 will be sent out mid-June. The annual insurance premium is paid in ten installments from June to March of the following year.

If you moved to Shinjuku City on or after January 2, 2025
The payment slips sent in June will show only the per capita (flat-rate) portion of the overall premium. Afterward, the taxable income information linked to your previous address will be used to calculate the income-based portion of the premium, and revised payment slips will be sent to you accordingly.
