・Consumer Classes
Classes on diverse themes are cosponsored by consumer groups and companies in the city. Information on these classes is announced in “Koho Shinjuku (Shinjuku City News)” and the Shinjuku City website.

・Visiting Classes

A consumer life consultant is dispatched as a lecturer to workplaces, schools and community study groups to explain how to prevent consumer problems.

◆ Malicious Business Practice Damage Prevention Network
The Shinjuku Consumer Life Center is building a malicious business practice damage prevention network with the cooperation of companies that provide nursing care and consulting institutions in the city.
Through this network, companies that provide everyday life services for the elderly and disabled report malicious business practices they discover to the Shinjuku Consumer Life Center. The center spreads information on cases, announces warnings, and works to help resolve problems.
The reports and cooperative efforts of this network will help prevent damages and discover victims of these business practices early—such as the elderly, who are frequently the targets of such malicious practices—and hopefully prevent the spread of cases and provide relief for the victims.
