Using Transportation-Related Electronic Money at the Family and Resident Registration Division
You can now use transportation-related electronic money (such as Suica and Pasmo cards) at the Family and Resident Registration Division service counter to pay the handling fees for various certificates. (Please note, however, that you cannot use electronic money at local branch offices.)
Handling Fees You Can Pay
Handling fees for issuing copies of your residence record, name stamp registration certificate and family registration (complete or abbreviated) as well as other fees.
Types of Cashless Payment You Can Use
Transportation-related electronic money, such as Suica and Pasmo cards.
1. You must choose one-time payment, and combined cash and cashless payments are not permitted.
2. You cannot charge your Suica or Pasmo card at the service counter. If you plan to make a cashless payment, please charge your card in advance.
