Copies of Certificates Obtainable at Convenience Stores Nationwide from December 2 (Sun.) Using “My Number” Cards
Shinjuku City will start a convenient service on December 2 that allows residents to obtain documents such as copies of resident records (juminhyo) at kiosk terminals (multicopy machines) installed at convenience stores nationwide. We will also continue to provide certificate-issuing services at the City Office.
You’ll need your individual number (My Number) card loaded with your user electronic certificate to use this service
If you already have an individual number card, you can use this certificate-issuing service at convenience stores. If you have not yet applied for your card, please do so.
Overview of certificate-issuing services at convenience stores
Convenience stores nationwide* such as Seven-Eleven, Lawson, FamilyMart and Mini Stop; there are approximately 54,000 outlets nationwide, and around 330 in Shinjuku City.
* Limited to stores that have kiosk terminals (multicopy machines)
From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. (excluding December 29 to January 3, and during periods of system maintenance)
Shinjuku City residents who have their individual number cards can apply in person.

Note: Only for those whose tax information was obtained by Shinjuku City through tax reports, etc.
Note: If the documentation you require is free, please come to a City Office service counter.
Your individual number card (loaded with your user electronic certificate)
- The display and audio guidance at the kiosk terminal (multicopy machine) remind the user to take the documents when he/she leaves.
- The system protects all personal information from unauthorized access via dedicated communication networks and the encryption of communication contents.
- The personal data on the certificate that is generated at the store will be automatically deleted from the copier’s memory immediately after the certificate is issued.
Note: Please always manage your personal information carefully.
Regarding the termination of the automatic certificate-issuing service, etc.
The automatic certificate-issuing machines installed at twelve locations in the city (at the Shinjuku City Office, Shinjuku City Office Annex 1, and ten Chiiki Centers) will stop supplying those services at the end of March 2020. You can use your automatic certificate-issuing machine card until that date. The service for issuing copies of resident records and seal registration certificates by telephone will also cease at the end of March 2019.
