The city will dispatch a specialist to your home to offer consultation and conduct a survey on appropriate braces and installment procedures. The installation of devices is free of charge.
Improper installation makes the measure less effective, so please take advantage of this support program.
Shinjuku City residents
Bureaus, cupboards, shelves, refrigerators and TV sets
Note: This program is restricted to furniture in homes in which city-designated devices can be installed.
You must pay for the devices, which can be purchased from the specialist dispatched by the city or bought in advance. You must also pay the costs for any renovation required, such as to the ceiling or walls.
★The following persons may receive up to five devices free of charge (one-time offer):
1. Those registered in the list of people who require protection in a disaster*
2. Households that receive public financial assistance for everyday living
* To be included on the list of people who need evacuation assistance during a disaster, residents must register themselves. The list will be used to identify these people before a disaster strikes.
