Financial Loans for Individuals
There is a special emergency small loan/comprehensive support loan (for everyday living) available for households whose income has dropped due to a lack of employment as a result of the novel coronavirus.

Housing Security Benefit
This benefit, in an amount equivalent to the rent (a maximum ceiling applies; there are also income restrictions and other requirements), is available for residents at risk of losing their home due to unemployment.

Subsidies to Cover Reduced Rent for Landlords of Shops
Landlords who reduce the rent for tenant shops whose revenues are suffering due to the novel coronavirus outbreak can obtain subsidies to cover part of the amount of the reduced rent.

Free Certificates for Loan and Financial Mediation Procedures

The handling fee for all necessary certificates needed by people receiving a loan or financial mediation due to the effects of the novel coronavirus has been waived.

Commerce and Industry Emergency Fund (Special Case)—Financial Institutions Are Now Receiving Applications

Financial institutions are now taking applications for the commerce and industry emergency fund (special case), a special financial measure designed to help small- and medium-sized businesses. You can apply directly to a financial institution without undergoing an interview at the City Office.
The application deadline has been extended to March 31, 2021 (Wed.).

There is a postponement program and reduction/exemption programs you can take advantage of if you’re having difficulty paying your resident tax, long-term care insurance premiums, national health insurance premiums, and/or premiums for the medical care insurance for older senior citizens, etc. Please call or fax us to set up a consultation.

If you are having difficulty paying for utilities or have the financial worries

There is a postponement program you can take advantage of if you’re having difficulty paying your bills for utilities, such as electricity, gas and water, as well as bills for your mobile phone. For more information about the requirements, please call the company you have a contract with.

Special Benefit for Households Raising Children

There is a special benefit provided for households raising children in the amount of ¥10,000 per eligible child. No application is necessary to receive this benefit. Information about it has been sent to eligible households. The benefit payment date is scheduled for late June.
