Domestic violence (DV)—which refers to violence caused by an intimate partner, such as a spouse or lover—is a major infringement of human rights. To support victims of DV, Shinjuku City offers consultation services through a special telephone line staffed by experts in spouse violence consultation. These consultations are free of charge, and all information will be kept strictly confidential. You can also request personal consultations face to face on a reservation basis.
