Those Symptoms…Could It Be Asthma?
Don’t Overlook Them! Gurgling and Wheezing Breath May Be Signs of Asthma
Children’s Asthma
Asthma causes the airways in the lungs to constrict and become inflamed, producing a gurgling or wheezing sound when a person breathes. Sometimes your child will be diagnosed with asthma when you take him/her to a medical institution because he/her may have an allergy to ticks and pollen. If you think your child might have asthma, please consult a doctor as early as possible.
★ If your child has the following symptoms, please consult your family doctor!
(1) A rash that is moist and does not heal
(2) A runny nose and cough that continue for days and weeks, even after a cold has gone
(3) The child gurgles and wheezes even though he/she seems fine otherwise. Symptoms grow worse at night.
(4) The child’s skin becomes red or a rash appears when he/she eats a particular type of food
Please take advantage of the city consultation services and events for asthmatic children.
Note: Consultation services and events are in Japanese.
