Get Immunized against Influenza

We have sent pre-checkup slips for influenza immunizations to the eligible residents noted below. If you are eligible, please bring your pre-checkup slip and get immunized at one of the medical institution Shinjuku City has designated.
Reservations may be required, so please check with the medical institution you want to go to in advance.

Immunization Period

Until January 31, 2022

Residents 65 years old and older and those between 60 and 64 years old who have any of the disabilities listed below; single injection

Pre-checkup slips will be sent to residents born between October 1, 1956 and January 1, 1957 before their birthday.

【Eligibility】Anyone that is a resident of Shinjuku City as of December 31, 2021, and is:
① Sixty-five years old or older;
② Between 60 and 64 years of age with a severe disability (level 1 according to the Handbook for the Physically Disabled), such as disabilities related to the heart, kidneys, respiratory organs and immunity functions.
Note: If you fall under Category ② but have not filed an application, you must complete the designated procedures in advance.
【Fee】¥2,500 (residents 75 years old and older and those who are members of a household that receives public financial assistance for everyday living receive their injections for free)

Those up to twelve years of age; two injections

We will send pre-checkup slips for residents born between November 1, 2020 and January 31, 2021 at the end of the month before their first birthday.

【Eligibility】Anyone that is a resident of Shinjuku City as of Friday, October 1, 2021, and is up to twelve years of age (born on or after October 2, 2008)
Note: If you want your child between six months of age up to under one year of age immunized, you must take care of certain designated procedures in advance.
【Fee】¥1,700 per injection (members of a household that receives public financial assistance for everyday living receive their injections for free)

【Eligibility】Anyone that is a resident of Shinjuku City as of Friday, October 1, 2021, between 13 and 64 years old, and is a member of a household that receives public financial assistance for everyday living.
【Fee】The injection is free (designated procedures are required in advance)
