Entering a Certified Nursery School, Etc.

Enrollment and Approval Section (for both municipal and private nursery schools, etc.), Nursery School Division

Certified nursery schools are child welfare facilities that provid childcare and education together if the parent/guardian is unable to take care of the child due to employment. There are also nursery rooms that offer similar childcare.
Childcare fees are determined according to the number of hours needed for childcare, the resident’s tax amount the parents/guardians pay, and the age of the child. The Nursery School Division handles applications.
After admission, support is offered as needed to children and parents/guardians who have difficulty communicating in Japanese. If you need support, please consult the nursery school your child attends.
