Multicultural Exchange Program at the Wakamatsu Iki Iki Festa

The Multicultural Exchange Program was part of the Wakamatsu Iki Iki Festa that took place at Wakamatsu Chiiki Center on November 17 (Sat.), 2018. The event featured two programs: a demonstration of traditional Korean dance on-stage and an opportunity for visitors to try on traditional Korean clothing.

In the morning, dancers from the Joung Eajin Korean Dance Association appeared on stage at the festa and performed three traditional Korean dances. The beautiful dancers in their gorgeous costumes received plenty of applause. They also performed a powerful dance while playing small drums, which gave the occasion a bright, exciting and fun atmosphere.

In the afternoon, visitors could try on traditional Korean clothing and experience Korean culture. It was wonderful to see families trying on outfits and getting their pictures taken and children having so much fun in outfits. People talked with each other about Korean culture, and teachers introduced interesting aspects of the country’s culture. The participants enjoyed this event with many smiles.
