Shinjuku City Municipal Natsume Soseki Memorial Museum “Ninth-Day Club”
Nationally acclaimed writer Natsume Soseki (1867–1916) was born and raised in Shinjuku City, and lived his whole life there. Following his death, his pupils organized a regular meeting, held at the Soseki Sanbo (Soseki Cottage) on the ninth day of the month every month, which is known as the Ninth-Day Club. Named after the gathering, we will host this“Ninth-Day Club” event as a way to provide information about Natsume Soseki and his pupils.
